Niki Biggou, MSc

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (BA Psychology) from the American College of Greece as well as a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology (M.Sc Clinical Psychology) from Leiden University in the Netherlands. She has further received training in Systemic – Family Therapy, Couples Therapy and Systemic Clinical Diagnosis at the Training and Research Institute for Systemic Psychotherapy “Λόγω Ψυχής”.

Before her training in psychotherapy she worked for a few years in the field of human resources & personnel selection.

She is in private practice as a Mental Health Counsellor, Psychotherapist, & Couple-Family Therapist at Nea Smirni, a southern suburb of Athens, where she works individually and in groups with adolescents, adults, families and couples.

She is a member of the Hellenic Society for Systemic Therapy (HELLASYTH).

She was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the Department of Psychology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and carried on her studies at the same Institution where she was awarded the master’s degree in “Career Counseling and Guidance”. She has concluded the 4-year Clinical Training Program in Systemic Psychotherapy as well as the Clinical training program in systemic diagnosis and the Training Program in Couples Therapy at the Training and Research Institute for Systemic Psychotherapy “Λόγω Ψυχής”.

She has worked, as a member of research teams, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the Pedagogic Institution (Greek Ministry of Education) in programmes  on career counselling and mental health of adolescents and adults. She has also cooperated, as psychotherapist and team coordinator, with private schools and other educational institutions. 

She has been in private practice as a psychologist, psychotherapist and couple-family therapist since 2007. She is a scientific affiliate at the e-learning programme of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, regarding the topic of Couple and Family Counselling.
