The European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies   The main objectives of ESTSS are:To increase and disseminate knowledge of traumatic stress based on good science. To identify cross European issues, such as differences in training and certification. To stimulate cross European training for different levels of certification. To stimulate and help to set up local societies in different European countries. To help establish European wide research on traumatic stress. To focus on European issues relating to traumatic stress, e.g. disaster response, uniform services, child abuse etc. To liaise with pan-European and international organisations/bodies. 

Australasian Society for Traumatic Stress Studies   ASTSS is an organization providing a forum for extending the understanding of, prevention and treatment of major stress and trauma within the Australasian region. 

International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS)   ISTSS is an international, interdisciplinary professional organization that promotes advancement and exchange of knowledge about traumatic stress. This knowledge includes:Understanding the scope and consequences of traumatic exposure Preventing traumatic events and ameliorating their consequences Advocating for the field of traumatic stress 

UK Psychological Trauma Society   The main objectives of the UKPTS will be to promote the improvement of the dissemination of knowledge of the effects of traumatic events, their consequences for people and communities, effective preventative interventions and treatments of the undesirable consequences of traumatic events; to develop a network of individuals committed to achieving this objective in the United Kingdom; to maintain a close relationship with the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and to partake in any activity that is related to or can promote these objectives.

Australian Center for Posttraumatic Mental Health  The Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health is a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs, the University of Melbourne and the Australian Defence Force. The Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health at the University of Melbourne undertakes world class trauma related research, policy advice, service development and education. Our innovative services help organisations and health professionals who work with people affected by traumatic events. 

Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, USA    The Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress conducts research, education, consultation and training on preparing for and responding to the psychological effects and health consequences of traumatic events. The Center’s work addresses a wide scope of trauma exposure from the consequences of combat, operations other than war, terrorism, natural and humanmade disasters, and public health threats. CSTS is a part of our nation’s federal medical school, Uniformed Services University (USU), and its Department of Psychiatry, as well as a partnering center of the newly established Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury. The Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) was established in 1987 to address United States Department of Defense concerns around the psychological impact and health consequences resulting from the impact of traumatic events, to include weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and natural disasters.

MIRECCs, US Department of Veteran Affairs   MIRECCs are VA Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Centers established by Congress to investigate the causes of mental illness, and to evaluate both established and new treatments with the goal of bringing best practices in mental health care into practice. 

National Child Traumatic Stress Network, USA   The NCTSN was established to improve access to care, treatment, and services for children and adolescents exposed to traumatic events and to encourage and promote collaboration between service providers in the field. 

SIDRAN Institute: Traumatic Stress Education and Advocacy, USA   A nationally-focused nonprofit organization devoted to helping people who have experienced traumatic life events. SIDRAN aims to enhance: the early recognition and treatment of trauma-related stress in children; the understanding of trauma and its sequelea. 

Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma   Traumaweb is the home page of the Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma. Today the Center is acknowledged as one of the outstanding treatment and training centers in Israel. 

Children’s Institute Inc., USA   Children’s Institute, Inc.
